Where am I likely to be scammed ?

Romance scammers have infiltrated all social media and dating sites. Please don't think that a dating site is safe because it's a paid-for site. An enormous amount of money is lost on the so called reputable paid-for dating sites. And some of the free dating sites have an enormous amount of fake profiles.

If you must get into an online relationship then make sure you video chat. But video chat can be cleverly faked so beware ! To prevent being scammed by fake video chat ask them to do something active like touch their nose with their finger during the chat
